Only a few short weeks since our August release and we’re already providing you with another stable release. We’re very pleased to present you our latest monthly stable release, Café de Olla or “OIla” for short.
In case you haven’t noticed, the Nexus 4 came out 3 years ago. It might be older but it’s got a Snapdragon 1.5 GHz quad core processor with an Adreno 320 GPU, 2 GB Ram, is unlocked and works on every network across the globe (minus CDMA).
Who cares? Well, it’s one of the most versatile phones in existence. There are builds of multiple OSes available for it right now and each are still getting updates. Why? Because with specs like it has, there isn’t much it can’t still do. It can run Android, Sailfish OS, Firefox OS, Ubuntu Touch, and oh yeah…LUNEOS!
If you’ve reloaded your feeds today, you may have noticed a slight change on your webOS app launcher. That’s right, it’s Preware’s birthday today! In celebration, the Preware icon has been changed to look, well, a little more festive. As we celebrate six years of what has certainly been a roller-coaster ride for the webOS family, let’s take a moment to reflect on just how much we owe to the homebrew developer community.
Over summer things always slow down a bit which is why we didn’t have a release last month. It’s about quality and because we basically had too many loose ends that needed fixing before we could push out a release we held off until this month.
